Pair of Venetian Silver Gilt Mirrors

A rare and beautiful pair of mid-18th Century Northern Italian (probably Venetian) silver giltwood carved mirrors.

The cartouche shaped mercury plates (later) surrounded with acanthus leaves and flower heads joined by C-scrolls. The base terminating with wonderfully carved Green Man masks. Circa 1750.

Some age related bumps and bruises and signs of historic woodworm, long gone but re-treated.
